The month of January 2, 2012 is not a Holiday (Philippines)

The month of january 2, 2012, the first Monday of the inbound season, is not a vacation.

Based on the list of official public holidays in the Philippines in 2012 as defined in Proclamation No. 295, January 1, Sunday (New Year's Day) and The January 23, Monday (Chinese New Year) are the only holidays for the month.

It means workers from both the government and private sector are required to report for work on Monday. Students, meanwhile, will have classes beginning Tuesday.

The Department of Education through DepEd Order No. 28 sequence of 2011 said that after the vacation break, classes nationwide will resume on January 3, 2012.
