After five years of holding the highest movie earner for the first day of showing in a Tuesday with 27 million dollars domestically, Transformers passes the title to 'The Amazing Spiderman' who  just brought the house down with their smashing 35 million dollar - first day showing.

Statistics have predicted that by the end of the 4th of July week the movie remake will have 125 million dollars in their pockets that will surely increase by the succeeding days of showing.

The movie reboot was a big hit not just domestically but in the whole world, in fact they were so watched out and millions of people internationally had to wait to fall in line for the first day of showing.

Though they did not beat out the last installment of Harry Potter which earned 90 million dollars in an opening day, still "The Amazing Spiderman" was a real hot shot not opening in a Friday but opened up in a Tuesday in which it's just the start of a week.
